Mr. Fazlee Shamim Ehsan

Managing Director

Mr. Fazlee Shamim Ehsan is a prominent industry leader and policy advocate from Bangladesh with more than 28 years of experience in sustainable manufacturing, international trade policy, labor reform, and responsible supply chain development within the global apparel sector.
He currently serves as President of the Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF), the ILO-recognized apex body representing employers in Bangladesh, and as Executive President of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA), which represents a major share of Bangladesh’s knitwear export industry.

Through these roles, he actively engages with government authorities, international brands, multilateral organizations and labor stakeholders to promote balanced industrial growth, fair trade practices, and responsible labor standards.

Mr. Ehsan is the Founder and Managing Director of Fatullah Apparels Ltd., established in 1998.
Under his leadership, the company developed one of the world’s greenest knitwear manufacturing facilities, achieving LEED Platinum certification—an internationally recognized benchmark for environmental excellence. The factory integrates advanced sustainable production systems, energy-efficient infrastructure, water stewardship measures, and worker-centered health initiatives. In recognition of its exemplary standards, the facility received the National Occupational Health & Safety Good Practice Award from the Government of Bangladesh in 2018.

A pioneer in responsible business practices, Mr. Ehsan has consistently worked to integrate social sustainability within industrial operations. At the association level, he founded the Responsible Business Hub (RBH) within BKMEA, strengthening due diligence systems in response to evolving global regulatory requirements. Earlier, he played a leading role in establishing BKMEA’s Social Compliance Unit in 2005—the first such initiative among trade associations in Bangladesh.

Beyond institutional leadership, Mr. Ehsan has been actively involved in shaping Bangladesh’s labor and trade policy landscape. He has served on labor law and rules amendment committees and is a member of the prestigious Bangladesh Labor Law Reform Commission 2024. His approach emphasizes constructive engagement between employers, workers, and policymakers to ensure long-term sectoral stability.
He is also the Vice Chairman of The National Tripartite Consultative Council. (TCC) of Bangladesh.
On the global stage, Mr. Ehsan serves as a Board Member of the International Apparel Federation (IAF), representing Bangladesh in international policy discussions concerning supply chain resilience, sustainability standards, and responsible sourcing.

He also serves as Chairman of the STAR Network, a cross-Asian alliance of garment producer associations representing more than 35,000 factories. Through this platform, he promotes regional collaboration on environmental performance, due diligence preparedness, and harmonization of compliance frameworks across Asia.

Widely recognized as a compelling speaker and thought leader, Mr. Ehsan maintains an active presence in national and international media. He frequently contributes to public discourse through print interviews, televised panel discussions and global forums, where he advocates for fair pricing mechanisms, equitable partnerships between brands and manufacturers, responsible supply chain governance, and sustainable industrial transformation. His clear articulation and balanced policy perspectives have earned him respect among business leaders, development partners, diplomats, and policymakers.

Mrs. Sadiya Shamim is the Honorable Chairman of Fatullah Apparels Ltd., bringing with her a distinguished background in education and leadership. After completing her Master’s degree, she dedicated several years to the educational sector, where she played a pivotal role in shaping young minds. She gained extensive teaching experience at renowned institutions such as BIS and CGS, earning recognition for her commitment to academic excellence and student development.

Upon joining Fatullah Apparels Ltd. as Chairman, Mrs. Shamim transitioned her passion for mentorship and organizational development into the corporate arena. She has been instrumental in fostering a culture of collaboration and integrity, with a strong emphasis on team building and sustainable growth. Under her leadership, the company has strengthened its corporate social responsibility initiatives, reflecting her deep commitment to community development and social impact. She also actively leads and supports various social and welfare groups within the organization, inspiring a shared vision of service, empowerment and excellence.

Mr. Kudrat-E-Khuda Maruf

Director

Mr. Kudrat-E-Khuda Maruf is the Director. He mainly leads the factory’s marketing and business development strategy, planning, focusing on buyer sourcing; brand positioning, and market expansion. His role includes managing buyer relationships, conducting market analysis, developing pricing strategies and overseeing promotional activities in close coordination with merchandising and production teams. He drives order growth, strengthens buyer confidence and supports the factory’s long-term business sustainability and profitability.

Md. Asaduzzaman

General Manager

Mr. Md. Asaduzzaman is the General Manager of Production & Quality Department. He has been working with the organization for the last 30 years. He is responsible for overseeing end-to-end manufacturing operations while ensuring that product quality meets buyer and compliance standards. His role includes managing production planning, quality control, process improvement and workforce efficiency to achieve on-time delivery, cost control and consistent quality. As GM, he coordinates with merchandising, compliance and technical teams to optimize productivity, minimize defects and meet overall business and buyer targets.

Mr. Shakeel Ahmed Chowdhury

Mr. Shakeel Ahmed Chowdhury has over two decades of hands-on experience spanning the garments industry, corporate advertising and event management. In his current role, he closely monitors departmental performance, prepares comprehensive reports and presentations, coordinates with senior management, and diligently follows up on key management decisions. By ensuring timely implementation of management directives and maintaining smooth alignment between the Managing Director’s office and overall factory operations.

Mr. Fayajul Ahsan

Deputy General Manager (DGM)

Mr. Fayajul Ahsan is the Deputy General Manager (DGM) of the Merchandising & Planning Department. He has been working with the organization for the last 25 years. He oversees the entire merchandising function and serves as the key link between buyers and factory operations. His responsibilities include buyer communication, order confirmation, pricing, costing, production planning coordination and ensuring on-time shipment. As DGM, he ensures quality, compliance, profitability and effective capacity utilization while leading the merchandising team and aligning production, sourcing, and logistics to meet buyer requirements and overall business targets.

Mr. Shamsuzzaman

General Manager

Mr. Shamsuzzaman is the General Manager of the Admin & Compliance Department and has been working with the organization for the last 28 years. He is responsible for overall administrative management and ensuring full compliance with local laws, labor regulations, buyer codes of conduct and international standards. His role includes overseeing HR administration, factory security, safety, legal matters, audits and certifications. He also coordinates closely with management to maintain a safe, ethical, and fully compliant working environment and to support smooth factory operations.

Mr. Salahuddin Ahmed

Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Mr. Salahuddin Ahmed is the Assistant General Manager (AGM) of the Commercial Department. He has been working with the organization for the last 26 years. He manages all commercial and trade-related activities of the factory, including import–export operations, customs and bonded warehouse compliance, banking and LC documentation, logistics, and statutory approvals. His role ensures cost-effective procurement, smooth shipments, regulatory compliance and coordination with finance, merchandising and production to support timely delivery and achieve business objectives.

Mr. Abdus Sabur (Shohel)

Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Mr. Abdus Sabur (Shohel) is the Assistant General Manager (AGM) of the Fabric (Store) Department. He has been working with the organization for the last 28 years. He oversees all fabric sourcing, procurement and inventory management to ensure the timely availability of raw materials for production. His role includes managing supplier relations, cost negotiation, quality inspection and coordinating with merchandising, production and planning teams. As AGM, he ensures fabric compliance with buyer standards, optimizes inventory, and supports smooth production flow while controlling costs and maintaining quality standards

Mr. Nurul Islam

Executive Director (ED)

Mr. Nurul Islam is the Executive Director (ED) of the Knitting Department. He has been working with the organization for the last 17 years. He ensures the efficient operation of knitting machines and consistent production of high-quality fabrics. His responsibilities include production planning, machine maintenance, quality control, troubleshooting and workforce supervision. He also coordinates with fabric sourcing, dyeing, and production teams to meet delivery schedules, optimize efficiency and maintain fabric quality standards.

Md. Shaiful Islam

Manager

Mr. Md. Shaiful Islam is the Manager of the Accounts Department. He has been working in the organization for more than 17 years. He oversees the factory’s financial operations, budgets and reporting management within the factory. Throughout his career, has demonstrated strong expertise in- Financial reporting and analysis, Budget preparation and cost control, Profit & loss management, Tax and VAT compliance, Internal auditing and financial monitoring, Cash flow management, Accounts payable & receivable supervision
